What is a CSA ?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is very much like a box scheme. Members receive a weekly share of a varied, nutritious, locally produce over the growing season after paying a discounted price before the season begins.
How does it work?
CSA shares include a range of veggies with optional extras, picked up weekly from the farm or pre-selected pick up point straight after harvest.
Harvest days for the box scheme will be Wednesdays & Saturday
You can expect your first box on the 2nd June- 17th Nov 2021. (24weeks)
So choose the Box option you would prefer to ensure your share of the harvest.

Being a CSA, Frith is more than your average box scheme: members not only receive a share of the harvest, but we actively invite you to join in the farming process.
CSA thrives on community involvement: we run regular volunteer days and a workshare scheme through which 10 members have the chance to work on a Monday or Wednesday for a 3.5 hour session per week for a veg box in exchange for your time.
Members have access to special events at the farm and will receive a fortnightly newsletter about what is happening at the farm. We encourage members to visit the farm on a sunny day and see our practices for themselves.
We understand that juggling work and family life can be demanding, and time can be short making getting your hands dirty a big ask from us – in which case a financial exchange for fresh, high quality, local produce to your door is more than enough if you prefer.
As the farm is accountable to the members we strive to produce fresh, high quality, nutrient-dense food that is grown with a respect for natural ecosystem processes, and without the use of any pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
There are limited places on the box scheme: last year we had lots of people on the waiting list. So secure your veg box and make sure to get your share of seasonal vegetables on our ‘Sign Up’ page.
Please note: At Frith farm we encourage members to sign up for the full 24 week season. This way you get the most out of your box and the farm is supported. If you’re away we will happily provide your friend or family member with that weeks share. Although cancellation is possible, we do ask you give 3 weeks notice so as we can best share out the produce.
Signing up to the box scheme offers the best value; however, if you’d like more flexibility look out for fresh produce on our market stall and on-line purchasing options on the website from May onwards.
