The Workshare scheme is for volunteers who commit to a weekly volunteering slot of 3 to 4 hours to receive a complimentary veg box. This year we are aiming for 10 work share members.
To be a workshare member you will need to come to the farm for a trial to check that the work will suit you.
The workshare scheme makes the farm a more economically viable venture and the volunteers learn how to grow organic veg, enjoy being on the land and connect with their local community.
There will be a choice between working on a Monday or Wednesday.
Monday’s will be tasks like planting, prepping growing space and weeding, Wednesdays will be harvesting. It would be good if you could choose one of those days then stick to it as we will train you up on certain tasks we do on that day.
The workshare is somewhat of a commitment, we appreciate people can’t make it every single week but we do expect people most weeks to receive the veg box each week. The workdays are very fun, there are lots of like-minded people and we have a laugh, we work hard but it hardly feels like work to be honest.
If you are interested in the workshare scheme, send us a message using the form below, we will get back to you asap.
